I've been an actor for over 40 years and a professional voiceover artist since 2004. My on-screen credits include Inspector Morse, The Bill, The Knock, the desk sergeant opposite FatBoy in EastEnders, General Sarus in the all-star Ancient Rome: The Rise and Fall of an Empire, plus Derek in Peter Kosminsky's No Child of Mine — winner of the BAFTA for Best Single Drama.
I also spent a couple of seasons on Noel's House Party — playing the Bishop on a Motorcycle in one of its best-known Gotchas — as part of the "Gotcha" and NTV team. It was one of the biggest Saturday-night shows of the 90s, watched by around 13 million people a week, and something my YouTube channel still gets steady views for today. That grounding in character work is still what shapes every audiobook, documentary and commercial I record today.
The Voice Behind the Story

True crime is where I've found my niche. I've narrated titles like The Guv'nor, The Dirty Dozen, No Handcuffs and Evil Beyond Belief for publishers including John Blake, alongside The Betrayer — the memoir behind the Netflix drama Legends. My narration of The Guv'nor won Best Performance – Factual at the One Voice Awards, Steam, Smoke & Mirrors won Best Mystery Audiobook at the SOVAS Awards, and Nothing Man earned an Earphones Award from AudioFile (now Kirkus Audiobooks). My approach is built on research and restraint: get the facts and the voices right first, then let the story's own tension do the work rather than reaching for drama it doesn't need.
Beyond audiobooks, I've narrated Reality TV and documentary series including I'm A Celebrity, Rough Trades, Mean Machines and the Emmy-nominated Body in Numbers, voiced national commercial campaigns for brands like Ford, BMW and Greggs, and created character performances for videogames — including Inspector Munroe in The Getaway: Black Monday, a PlayStation 2 title that pre-sold 1 million copies, and multiple characters in the BAFTA-winning Divinity: Original Sin 2.
Whether it's a gritty true-crime narration, a corporate explainer, or a character that needs a completely different register, my focus is the same: clarity, authenticity, and serving the story.
